Title: Registration and activation email
Post by: Badman on January 15, 2007, 04:50:43 PM
You should receive your registration email almost instantaneously upon registering. Some emails list the site as spam and either place them in a spam or junk folder others just automatically delete them. If you do not get your email within an hour or so please list the user name you chose here and I will activate you manually. I will let you know when it is complete. The admins and I check here regularly and we will activate you quickly.

Thanks for joining and I know you will be an asset to the forum!

Hi,

I registered for your forums but did not notice I made an error in my user name....there should be no ";" there! So I went back to the site and deleted my incorrect account.  When I try to re-register with my correct user name of jglover, the website will not allow me to register saying I cannot have multiple accounts from one address.  I thought I had deleted the jg;lover account but apparently the website does not think so.  Is there any way to remedy this?  Thanks!

John

John, you are a member here under the user name jglover.
To access your account,  log in using

jglover

and password is

badman

Then, when you are in, please change your password to protect your account.

I have a question!
I was an active member quite a long time ago and I am now coming back into the wonderful world of fishkeeping. I tried to reregister but my email being used once prevents this from happening. The problem is that I don't remember my password or username and the feature to help recover those is not working for me.

How do I go about finding my information?

Hi, this is jakester, i'm already a member. I wanted to change my email, because the one that was on my profile i no longer use. So i changed it, and it sent me an activation code as if i was joining as a new member. i clicked the link, and it sends me to a page titled "resend activation code"
why would i need to resend the activation code? anyway... i did what it tells me to do, and it tells me that my email is already being used! I'm pretty sure its not... I'm really confused.  >:(

Never mind, i got it figured out. i had to use the wrong e-mail again though. I must have already made an account with the other one or something...

I have been trying to get my registration activation for some months now and each time I have not had an e mail.
Is there something amiss or is the fact there are so many new members trying to join this site that it has overloaded the registration port?

Title: Re: Registration and activation email

It may be going to a spam filter of your email. you can add badmanstropicalfish.com to your safe list or let me know and I will register you

Hello. I am trying to register but it keeps telling me that I did not answer a question correctly. Which question? Won't tell me. The year is 2018. 7+5=12. We keep fish in aquaria. And Angels are in the family of cichlids (South American Cichlids to be exact). Also, I got the visual verification correct because I even clicked on the link to listen to the letters. Is it because I am accessing the site from a smart phone? Anyways, thanks in advance for your help. My email is lastpureleo@yahoo.com and the username I want to use is Furby 435. I was wanting to ask questions about Apistogrammas on The Species board.
