Title: MTS Baby Question
Post by: pokey6 on October 12, 2014, 04:49:24 PM
Do Malaysian Trumpet snails float at the water surface when they are born or do they do this if they are dead? I have been scooping them out as I see them but was wondering if they would be dead or alive. Waiting on some assassin  snails.

Thanks
Paula

That is a good question. My theory is possible air trapped inside their shell and then not being able to gain a foothold on anything.

Russ
Are you thinking that they are still alive?

Just a guess. I've seen plenty of them float around only to grab on to a plant or aquarium glass.

These ones just drop to the bottom if disturbed. I was thinking they were alive but hoping for the opposite lol!

Thanks
