At what size are the differences between male and female Congos evident? I got 8 Congo Tetras and only one is obviously a male. Is there a possibility that some are immature males? They are about 1 3/4 to 2 inches long.

Sexing Congos takes patience.....something I'm not good at Wink

Males will be VERY obvious, but it can take up to a year for them to truely fin out.  I have some pics around here somewhere........

Two definate males.  The females will be a solid "copper" color without the fin extensions.  Hope that helps  happy
