Tanks: 1 55 gallon freshwater tank, down to 2 opalines, 2 bn plecos, 1 betta, 1 bolivian ram, 3 sidthmunkis, 6 adolfoi cories; 1 20 gallon long amphibian tank (taricha granulosa)

That is SO cool!  Makes me wish I had more than one, but I'm lucky that the one I has adapted to the 55 gallon tank.  Got him over 3 years ago before I knew that a 55 gallon was typically too high for them.

I love to hear them sing! I'm not certain how long I looked around the house for a cricket the first time I heard a strange noise in my living room. happy

Fire-bellied toads sound like beepers, or my wife's phone when it needs/want a charge.  I loved it when folks grabed for their belts of pockets or purses.

Isn't that nice?  The first time that happened, I thought it was mechanical, and went creeping around the livingroom, trying to locate it.  Once I traced it to the tank, I knew what it was.  It's one of my favorite sounds because it means the frogs are happy.
