Black Ghost Knife Fish Body Dimensions

Hi for those of you guys who own BGKs, do you have a rough estimate on how tall it's body is when it is fully grown?

I know it can grow up to about 20 inches long, but I was wondering about the length of it from its belly up.

rough estimation....3 or 4 inches ? I've seen one about 15"s long and they have that wierd fin they use to swim, it gets kinda bit.

Dom, BGK are typically kept in specimen tanks, if yours is getting bit the reason is probably improper housing.

A fish 18" long will be at least 5-6" deep.

I never ended up getting one, for the reason they're to big. The fish shop I goto has one that fairly long, he likes fish like that. Has a HUGE moray eel aswell.

I'm starting to setup my new 6ft tank, even in that i'm not putting a BGK in it.
