My boyfriend hates my wrought iron tank stand for my 75g...

anyone have any suggestions on where to look, possibly buy, a good tankstand, with storage underneath that wil be good for my size of a tank?

Petsmart has 2 advertised on its site, I already looked :P

On my 29 gallon, I made a skirt to hide the stand, using double sided velcro and material from a fabric store. It took about 20 minutes and cost about $10..it also looks a LOT better than the bare stand. I'll post a pic tonight on this same thread.

Just an inexpensive option that would provide a quick solution...at least until you find the perfect stand.  Smiley

Stephanie's idea is great.

Building a ply wood skirt for it would look even better and still be cheaper than buying a new stand.

If the BF is really cranky, ask him to build you a new stand.

Just tell him to stop acting so girly.  Tell him to make you a metal stand which meets with his approval.  You throw in a little work and most men will  love what they just one second ago hated.

Here's a not so great pic (it would be better taken with an actual camera...and if it was ironed. I take it down when the cat thinks it's a scratching post. One good reason to go with the plywood!)

Although I like the idea of "just have him build one"  Smiley

I can't charge my digi cam to take pics at the moment, but i'm in the process of staining and varnishing my wooden 6ft stand.

Its gonna look real good when its done!
