Here it is the new tank, it is a 55g the 65 fell thru, so i struck a deal with my LFS and got it and the hoods and lights for 114 bucks, I had all the other part needed in stock at the house, it has a penguin 100, 150 and a aqueon 30 which gives me 450 GPH, I put in my power head and have two 100 watt heater, which i know are a little lite, will be getting at least one more. here are some pics......

so to clarify this all started with a 10gallon 3 goldfish and more then a few deaths, it is now up to 7 tanks: 2-10, a 5.5. a 36, a 29, a 55 brackish, and a 20g long, which will be used somewhere i am sure, for those that remember me and Phil my first fish, told you his legend would live on. All in all it took 3 hours to set up and transfer fish to the new tank, the 20 is stripped and in storage waiting for the next purchase, I will have to drill a hole in the floor to run some cords down to the basement plug in's to take some pressure off of the upstairs. So a monster big thank you to all of you, you know who you are, Badman, Gomez, Karen, Maura, Mary, Santafe, H.Rasbora, and too all of those that i forgot, still a huge thank you. This is the best site ever and with out it I would never have had the success and failures, and the courage to continue and have a wonderful hobby so cheers as they say in St. Louis "This Buds for You"   |

i am wondering if i should put some more fake plants and hiding spaces in the tank, after reading so much on puffers it seems to me that i might be a little shy in that area, however i have seen some tanks on u-tube that have alot less, any thoughts on it. I have tried to break up a lot of straight line sights, but not sure how much is too much or to little, after all happy fish are healthy fish also the temp is at reading 80.7, which depending on which profile you read is within their comfort zone, do we think this is to warm? I have seen everything from 76-79 and 78-82, I seem to be in the middle. thoughts...... oh and in case you are looking at my belt rack in the pictures and notice there is no black belt, it is because that belt is not retired yet, 2nd degree, not bragging, very humble, just educating |
