I have a 10 gallon Tetra  brand tank with crypts, and a westeria. It houses 1 male betta , 3 otos and a ghost shrimp. 1 small piece of mopani wood. For some reason it constantly gets heavy BGA on the crypt leaves. Any way to stop this? I can't knock out the algae since that is what the otos eat. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

are you sure it is BGA? BGA is actually a bacteria so i have heard of people using an anti bacterial medication to treat BGA but i have never done it myself so i can not say one way or another. from what i have read BGA is caused by high nitrates and phosphate. keeping up on water changes should also help. if you dont havea phosphate test kit your LFS may be willing to test your water for you.

Happy Trails,
