Hi, so the slate has come out, the sand idea really did not go well! Settled for just gravel with a piece of Mopani Root for the crab to climb (it even has a nice outcrop leg for access).  Photo a bit poor sorry (reduced quality to fit limit).

Two questions though, should I make a small cave for him (crab) as he seems to want to bury into the gravel all the time?
Also, the Mopani root is (only been soaked for 2 days) making the water tea colour, I know it's OK for fish, is it fine for crabs / shrimp?

Thanks

Thanks Ruthy and Vickie, that piece of wood was free when I bought another piece Smiley

He does not seem to climb it much though, then again he's only been here since Thursday and yesterday I redesigned the tank so he came out of the tank while I worked.  Hoping he settles in the next week and starts to use it, assuming he will as its a natural instinct to come out of water.

Cheers again Smiley
