So I've had two Amano shrimp for 1 year and a half to two years now and I have been noticing that they molt together. Consistently. And within a day of each other. Why is this?? Is it just coincidence or do they actually base molting off of each other somehow? They are constantly hanging together but I think this might be that they like the rock pile in my tank best. Just a curiosity.

It's just a coincidence. They probably feel safe by your rock pile if it has crevices and such for them to hide in. Even shrimp know they need to escape predators in a hurry.

Hope the helps!

That's a funny coincidence! And it makes sense if they're more vulnerable after a molt right? Thanks for the reply!
