Ok, I was reading some of the back messages I have missed. Some one posted a link about driftwood. Just about the time I opened the site, my sweet loving Manx decided she wanted on my lap and cleared everything on the computer screen. I have tried to find it, but I am just not computer savy. Does any one have an idea what the site was. Think the person posting it said this site had everything we need to know about drift wood. Any one know the site??? Thanks in advance.

I have a piece of driftwood that seems to be rotting and has gunk/mulm/rot (?) on some of the surface.  Some of the surface will flake off with my siphon.  Should I take the sucker out and give it a good scraping.  If it's relevant I have 3 cherry barbs and a pearl gourami in the relevant 20 gallon tank as well as some java plants.  Gravel substrate.  My water is very hard, so the wood is just there as decoration.
