Hello,

We recently added 2 tiger snails that we adopted from someone to our 10 gallon tank. We've had them a few weeks now. They have done almost too good of a job cleaning up the algae, from the decorative statues, tank walls etc...it is now super clean! Will they get hungry now that they've consumed to bulk of the visible algae? Is there a supplement we should give them?

Thanks!

Here is a pinned sticky telling about snail nutrition.   Smiley

Thanks so I guess I can't assume they are getting enough food from just the algae? (I don't know if they are getting any fish flakes or not)

As suggested in the sticky, we gave them a few raisins (4) which they went nuts over. Now a day later, the water is cloudy...this is a well-established tank...I have removed all but 1 raisin...could that be the cause so quickly?

I think that 4 raisins is too much for only 2 snails.  I would use one and watch to see how fast it goes.  After a while you will get an idea of how much to give them and how long it should stay in the tank.  Try some other things outside of raisins too.
