My first use of the 2,5 gallon "fry tank" was a foray with my oldest grandson last year, then 9, to raise these critters. After getting a kit and reading about it I was put off by the amount of specifics required for what the box said, "just add water," so shoved it aside a year. But, he and put those tiny eggs, smaller than a the tank, 15 as best I can count, and 4 hatched of which one, named "scooter'' by my wife survived. Long story short, he grew from this<a href="" target="_blank"><img src="" border="0" alt=" photo 005_zpsfjnsdita.jpg"/>[/url] to this<a href="" target="_blank"><img src="" border="0" alt=" photo 004_zpsvfujf0lm.jpg"/>[/url]to the day before he died<a href="" target="_blank"><img src="" border="0" alt=" photo 050_zps7f3j0mqo.jpg"/>[/url]
He lived 48 days and let me tell you his death was mourned about the home and  by neighbor kids.  Only my fish keeping skills let us keep hi that long.
