Finally cycled with these guys and the "new tank algae" settling.
42 gal. Plants: Vallisneria, Nypmhaea, Eleocharis Parvula (this is struggling, may not stay in tank), Echinodorus Tenellus.

Fish so far: Male and female Pearl Gourami (Trichopodus leerii)
Invertebrates: MTS and 10 assassin snails (currently in breeder box so don't wipe out MTS population, will be sending 7 to sister for her tank)

Fish to come: Lambchop Rasbora (Trigonostigma espei)
Invertebrates to come: Cherry shrimp (maybe, the female gourami may peck at them).

Only been set up for around a month, but has cycled with current bioload. The vals and echinodorus have made quite a few new plants since planting. The nymphaea has also deeply rooted and started up 3 new plants so far, only a few leaves reaching the top though

I really like your tank Ruthy, those pearl gourami and your plant choices are lovely. I don't know much about the Lotus Lily but perhaps it is normal that they let only one leaf reach the top? Or at least in the beginning, until they are more mature? I wouldn't worry about it too much, as long as the plant looks healthy and continues to thrive.  Smiley
