High praise for Hikari!
It's extremely clean food, multi-vitamin enriched and it really is made with the specific dietary needs of the fish in mind. All the fish eat with vigor, they're in good health, their colors are bright and even when there's been fin nipping, they've healed about 3 times faster than with any of the other foods. Currently I'm feeding their Betta Bio-Gold, Blood Worms and Sinking Wafers--here are some of the benefits of each: Betta Bio-Gold are: Tiny pellets composed of premium protein and vitamins. Betta-specific for color enhancement. Blood Worms--Bio-Pure FD: Are gut-loaded with vitamins before being freeze dried. Softens quickly in water, so it's a great high-nutrient formula for fish who have trouble eating. No artificial colors or preservatives. Sinking Wafers (mini disk size): Will not dissolve or cloud water--instead, it slowly softens into a tasty, nutritiously balanced, vitamin-charged meal. Contains a variety of seaweeds and fish/krill meal. The primo protein source is the first ingredient in all three foods. They use both vitamins & amino acids (in the form of brewers yeast.) High levels of vitamins include Vit. C, E, B-complex and Vit. D. Your fish will thank you!
