Owner:Corey
Tank size:55 Gallon
- Hi My name is Corey I live in Toronto Canada and I currently
have a 55g tank set up. The tank is 48"L x 20"H x 13"W. It is
filtered with 1 Eheim canister filter (2215) and 1 Aquaclear
250 to help out, also a 250w heater set at 78F. My tank sits
on a solid pine double door stand with a 2 section canopy and
two florescent lights.
I have 5 fish in my tank they are:
- 2 - 7 inch Tiger Oscar
- 1 - 5 inch Blue Jack Dempsey
- 1 - 7 inch Nicaragua Cichlid ( Chiclasoma Nicaraguense)
- 1 - 6 inch Pleco
My Tiger Oscars ( witch I have had since they where 2 inches)
are simply the smartest fish I have ever kept. They know when
I'm around and love attention. They both feed from my hand
and love frozen krill (and just about anything they can fit
in there mouth). My Jack Dempsey is also a smart fish. He
is also very aggressive when it is feeding time. He also enjoys
krill and also cichlid pellets and brine shrimp. For a treat
I'll throw a earth worm or two cut up in there for him. My
Nicaragua Cichlid is more of the picky type. He will occasionally
eat a small feeder fish but more times likes vegetable based
food and loves spinach leaves. My Pleco, he helps me out with
the water clarity and eats anything that manages to make it
to the bottom of the tank if my other fish don't eat it first.
I would also like to award you with your site. I have been
looking for a site like this for awhile keep up the good work.
