They carry a large line of african cichlids and carry a lot of marines. The staff is great, helpful, but get so caught up with helping customers, it takes literally a half an hour to get a sales clerk. You have got to be aggresive.

They carry a lot of tropical fish and some goldfish. It is the biggest tropical freashwater pet store I've ever seen. I like their staff because they're nice and they tell you stuff that sometimes you don't like, like if you haven't setup your aquarium for at least 3 days then you should probably wait a couple of days before buying fish. And stuff like this fish will grow too big for your aquarium so I recommmend that you only buy 1.

This store is great. They carry game fish, tropical fish and salt water fish as well as all accessories you will ever need. The people that work there know what they are talking about. They tell you how to take care of your fish and any special requirements that a fish needs. I highly recommend this store.

This store specializes in marine fish and invertebrates, although
they carry a good selection of freshwater fish also, and will order any species
for you. Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable staff. They carry more
advanced products, like protein skimmers and top end hydrometers, which may be
hard to find at other stores.

Located in an old church building, this store is run by a Gentleman and his
wife who live next door to the store. He has a large selection of all the
common fish. Neon Tetras, Cardinal Tetras, Many kinds of Cichlids, Oscars,
Angelfish, Lots of rare and hard to find species of Plecos. Extensive selection
of larger specimens for people who want to buy bigger fish to put in bigger
tanks. He has some of the Biggest Tinfoil Barbs that I have seen for sale.
I purchased 6 Tinfoil Barbs that at the time of purchase were almost 8" and
now they are almost 14" and doing quite well in a 300 gallon tank that I have
set up. He is very knowledgeable about fish and their requirements
Note: the above review was for the old location and
owners. they have since moved and have new ownership. The new location is
listed. Badman

The store carries both saltwater and freshwater fish with some fish available in larger sizes. The staff have generally been very knowledgeable. They have a good selection and prices are as good or better than the chain stores. They will order not in stock or specific requests. They are open until 8:00 pm ex Sun.

I don't recommend buying fish from this Petco location. They continually have
dead fish at the bottom of their tanks or quarantined tanks with fish medicated
for Ich.

SALTWATER FISH at Petco are always under observation. Yesterday we decided not to just go check out the fish since it's a drive so I called the store first to find out what the current status of there saltwater fish was. I spoke to a Jasmine and she informed me the fish were healthy and that they had plenty of them. So my husband decided to drive to Maple Grove to buy several salt water fish. Only to find out that AGAIN they are UNDER OBSERVATION. No SURPRISE to us. So I called and spoke to the Store Manager Robin and she informed me that a cashier answered the phone and she wasn't in the fish section and that maybe she didn't notice the sign. Hmmmm Ok.. Not a good enough answer. What a waste of time this store is.
