Store is very disorganized and the staff acts like they are very knowledgeable but they are not. I went in to purchase some liverock and they had a large amount so I picked some out and the woman who is either the manager or owner said that the growth on it was not aiptasia as I thought but was brown button polyps. This turned out to in fact be aiptasia so am not happy at all. I have asked other questions of them and have found the answers to be wrong after checking various forums. will never buy there again.

Mostly common fish, once in awhile some not so common. Staff not very knowledgable. Some marine, mostly freshwater. Needs improvement. Tanks all have same filtration. Usually diseased oscars -- ick on golfish.

Wide variety of fish, both salt and freshwater including many large cichlids. However, 1 out of 5 tanks had ick and several tanks, especially for the large fish were badly under aerated. On another note, the store has a good selection of fish supplies.

Largest selection of fresh and marine fish that I've seen in the area by far. Lots of common and uncommon fish at the best prices I've seen. Tons of FW fish, hundreds of species. Fish are pretty healthy with the occasional exception. Staff is somewhat knowledgeable, some more so than others, but they can be quite helpful to the beginner and are very nice. Small selection of corals which are quite pricey. Also have lots of reptiles and birds.

A petshop for those into marine and reef tanks. Cheapest prices on corals and marine fish and inverts that I've ever seen. Large selection of corals, SW inverts and SW fish. Lots of unusual things. Not really a place to go for FW fish. Decent selection of FW fish, but they do not look healthy at all. Everything is put into the care of the SW animals. The only store employee is the owner, so you may be looking for a while before you get a chance for questions or service. He is, however, very knowledgeable on SW species, I'm not sure about FW though.

The owner has recently done some remodeling, and upgraded his fw tanks. He still mainly concentrates on sw fish, but can answer questions on either fw or sw fish. Great selections of food and chemicals as well.

The store has a large selection of fresh and salt water. His specialty is African cichlids. The owner is the only employee and is very knowledgeable and helpful. He has one of the best reef tanks in the area.

This Pet shop has an abundant number of fresh water species and some saltwater also. The staff is very knowledgeable about all set ups for your personal aquarium. If possible ask for James.

I bought several fish here that the owner told me would be compatible. I have 2 left after one of the fish ate the rest. Should have known better after she told me with a laugh that she sold a guy a blue lobster telling him it would be fine in his tank, and that it promptly ate 30 of his fish. The tanks were a mess and the smell in there was horrible. If it had not been the only store open on a holiday, and I had not promised to buy my kids fish that day, I would have walked out. Now wish I had.

I have known about the Westerly Pet's Plus for a few years now. The store was well kept when it was open and now is not so great. Almost every tank they have there had one or more dead fish. I saw about eleven bowls of betta's on a shelf, they were a pale yellow and looked like total crap. I also noticed that they had gotten rid of the one tank of saltwater fish they had. The only tank that looked okay was their own "Not for sale" Brackish aquarium. Seems like that is the only one they kept an eye on. Not all the fish looked bad but I don't suggest buying fish from there, some fish look good some fish don't. The only way I'd think of buying a fish from Pet's Plus. Is if I had a quarantined tank. I also felt bad for the puppies. I had been in there before and I had to tell the guy working there to get the dog some water! He looked at me like he didn't know animals needed water.

Very good SW and FW fish MOST of the staff including the owner are very knowledgeable about Both SW and FW very good selection of fresh water fish and saltwater fish . Very low price on SW inverts and corals most of the time they have out of the ordinary fish . Also very good aquariums them selves and aquarium supplies are in high quantity and are very good.

Went into store after seeing the website, nice store. When you have a nice store and tons of workers you need to charge more then everyone else to make a profit. I guess 30-50 bucks more for supplies I needed then a different place 15 mins away. Will not be going back.

I visit this store all the time. The owner (Kurt) and his brother (don) are extremely knowledgeable and are willing to assist the customer in every way. They offer a wide array of services from fish to ponds right down to supplies and water! They take the time to get to know you, the customer and call you by name when they see you in the store. It is a very personable touch to an industry where the bottom line is the all mighty dollar. The store is well maintained and staffed with highly educated personnel. If you get a chance to go by and don't run into the brothers, ask for Sean, Brad, Joe or Dan.. All these guys know what they are talking about. I highly recommend this store to consumers interested in fish and pond keeping.
