Species: Amphilophus labiatus
Common Name: Red Devil
Size: Up to 14" (36 cm), females somewhat smaller.
Habitat: Central America: Atlantic slope of Nicaragua, in Lakes Nicaragua and Managua. .
Min Tank Size: 48 inches (75 gallon for pair)
Diet: Omnivorous, Relishes live food, but will eagerly accept all types of prepared or frozen foods.
Behavior: Mostly Peaceful, if allowed lots of living space.
Water: Temperature: 70°F to 80°F (21°-27° C), 7.0 to 8.0, Hardness: Medium hard (dH 6.0 - 25.0).
Care: Easy.
Communities: Ok with other cichlids, no small fish.
Suitability: Only if you will meet its' needs.
