Common Name: Bicolor Dottyback or Royal Dottyback
Size: 3" (7.26 cm)
Habitat: Western Pacific, Indonesia (Java and Sulawesi) to Vanuatu; Palau in Micronesia.
Min Tank Size: 30 gallon.
Diet: Carnivorous. Meaty variety, brine and mysis shrimp, chopped seafoods.
Behavior: Semi-aggressive, will defend it’s territory against larger fishes.
Reef safe: Yes, will not harm corals but will eat ornamental shrimp.
Water: pH 8.1-8.4, Temperature of 72 to 82ºF (22.2 – 27.8°C), sg 1.020 - 1.025, dKH 8-12
Care: Easy, with good filtration.
Communities: Can be aggressive toward mild-mannered species or smaller fish.
Suitability: SW experience a must, hardy and good beginner fish.
